UC students unearth history at Tharros archaeological dig

Every summer, a group of undergraduate students from the UC Department of Classics make the journey from Cincinnati to Tharros, Italy.   However, these students won’t be sipping lemonade and lounging by the Mediterranean Sea all summer. They will be participating in experiential, hands-on learning, working as archaeologists on an important excavation.

In recognition of National Heroes Day on Oct. 8 and the generosity from community donors, all blood and platelet donors who give at any Hoxworth Neighborhood Donor Center or select mobile blood drives during the month of October will receive an exclusive, limited-edition long sleeve hooded shirt featuring the powerful message, Blood Donors Save Lives, while supplies last.

Fall can be prime time of year for sinus suffering

The fall season can be a prime time of year for sinus suffering, but Ahmad Sedaghat, MD, PhD, FACS, said it doesn't have to be that way. He is a professor of otolaryngology in the UC College of Medicine. He is also director of the division of rhinology, allergy and anterior skull base surgery. Sedaghat is an internationally recognized expert on chronic rhinosinusitis and allergies.
