Provost, Other UC Delegates Celebrate New Class of Bearcats in China

The week of Sept. 22, University of Cincinnati Provost Beverly Davenport led a delegation of Bearcats to visit the second-year kickoff of UC's

successful partnership

with Chongqing University in China. She welcomed 77 new students to UC in China, where students, with the help of UC, gain access to that nation's first-ever co-op program.

“Launching the first co-op program in China has been a huge success,” Davenport said. “Students and parents alike share a palpable excitement about being part of our Bearcat world.”

UC Board of Trustee member Rob Richardson and UC Foundation President Rod Grabowski also served as part of the delegation. The group met with representatives of Chongqing Medical University to discuss potential partnerships with pharmacy and medicine, specifically UC's graduate program in cosmetic science in the Winkle College of Pharmacy as well as the pending undergraduate degree in Medical Sciences in the College of Medicine.
