UCit recommends the Polycom Via Video camera and meeting software for desktop video conferencing. The Via Video unit provides the best performance as far as picture quality, at 30 frames per second (fps), and sound clairty with the UCit video Multipoint Control Unit (MCU). The Via Video is easy to install. Plug the camera into the USB port on your PC and load the software.

NetMeeting is another popular desktop video conferencing software, but lacks in picture quality, at 15 fps, and audio delivery performance. Due to the picture limitations of the software based operation of Net Meeting, this product is not supported by the UCit video conference MCU.
