VirusScan Enterprise V8.7i supports Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP w/ SP1 SP2 or SP3, Vista (32-bit and 64-bit), Windows 2003/R2 (32-bit and 64-bit) w/ SP1 or SP2 and Windows 2008 (32-bit and 64-bit):
VirusScan Enterprise v8.7i has been pre-configured to utilize the UCit AntiVirus ftp site for automated virus definition and engine file updates.

"Perpetual License" should be selected during install and autoUpdate should be run after product installation. This will ensure all current Engine and Virus Definition files are installed.

As of April 1, 2009, Service Packs have not been released for this product. You should periodically check the Service Packs and Updates page for future releases.

Previous versions of Mcafee Antivirus should be removed prior to installing this release.

If you are using an Anti-Virus OTHER THAN MCAFEE VIRUS SCAN: Update your Anti-Virus data files according to the software publishers instructions.

VirusScan & VShield (McAfee Anti-Virus from UC):

To Update VirusScan: (NT, XP, 2000, and 2003)

Locate this icon:  in the Task Bar

"Right-Click" on the icon 
 

And select: "Update Now..."

To Update VShield v4.5.1 (Windows 95, 98, and ME)

From the <START> button, choose <PROGRAMS> locate <NETWORK ASSOCIATES> and then <VirusScan Console>

When the VirusScan Console opens "Right-Click" on "AutoUpdate" and select "Start"
