LT@UC Conference
Faculty, staff and graduate students from the University of Cincinnati are invited to submit proposals for the seventh-annual Learning and Teaching at UC Conference (LT@UC), to be held on May 22, 2024 at the UC Clermont campus through UC's internal Bearcats Landing site. This year's theme is Transformative College Teaching: A Celebration of Practices that Engage, Elevate, and Enlighten, and will be devoted to sharing learner-centered teaching practices that lead to lasting and meaningful change.
Transformative college teaching is learner-centered teaching that draws out the unique potential within each student. A transformative college experience enables students to discover profound truths about themselves, their communities, and their world by going beyond the course content and focusing on the whole student. Ultimately, students develop new ways of thinking and knowing, as well as new passions and values, that help them to flourish as human beings.
The conference this year is a collaboration between The Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CET&L), The Academy of Fellows for Teaching and Learning (AFTL), UC Online, Digital Technology Solutions, the UC Clermont Faculty Engagement Center, the UC Clermont Center for Teaching, Learning and Innovation, and the UC Blue Ash Learning and Teaching Center. The conference will consist of two keynote speakers, concurrent sessions, and a poster session. In addition, breakfast and lunch will be provided, and door prizes will be given out at the end of the conference.
The in-person conference is FREE for all members of the UC community. Registration will open in late March and be limited to 300 participants.
