UC's student union, Tangeman University Center, is full of activities year-round. In addition to Great Hall and extensive meeting rooms, these alternate venues add versatility to this historic building.

Tangeman University Center Level 3 Atrium

This is a public space 

Versatile space on level 3, used for student events, receptions and information fairs.

Set-ups and capacities

  • Lecture: 80
  • Seating at rounds: 80
  • Tables for career/job fair: 40
  • Tables around perimeter: 20
  • Dimensions: 45 ft. by 50 ft.

MainStreet Cinema

Space is currently available for reservations. 

Want to show a movie or make a presentation in a theater setting? MainStreet Cinema seats 200 in classic padded theater seats.

Bearcats Café

Restaurant seating with tables and chairs, as well as booths

Space is not currently available for reservations.

Tangeman University Center Steps

Space is currently available for reservations. 

The formal entrance to the student union is an impressive backdrop to receptions, wedding ceremonies, dedications or photography shoots. Capacity varies by event type.

Catskeller

Space is not currently available for reservations. 

Catskeller, UC's campus pub, is located on the lower level of TUC. The pub serves a variety of craft beers and catering is available through Classic Fare Catering. Capacity 100.

  • Available Monday – Thursday, 5 p.m. – Close; Saturday & Sunday, during business hours
  • Not available during home football games
  • Catskeller frequently has programming that could impede a group’s experience; check the Catskeller site to verify any pre-planned programming.
