CSR NIBRS Offenses

  • YTD: Only increase in our society offenses by 6%
  • 5 Year Average: Increases in property and society offenses. The society offenses compared to the 5-year average are the most notable.

NIBRS Offenses: Society

  • Trespass of Real property and Liquor Law Violations are driving our Society offenses.
  • With the weather getting colder we do see an increase in trespassing in stairwells and lobbies on and around campus. Many of these individuals are repeat offenders.
  • The liquor law violations are primarily our students drinking underage.

CSR NIBRS Offenses: Person

  • Only two slight increases: The first is murder and non-negligent manslaughter increasing by two compared to last year. All of these occurred off campus and did not involve any UC students
  • Agg Assault: Only an increase of 4. Most of these concentrate close to the Short Vine area. Many of these are bar fights or other fights that break out in this area

CSR NIBRS Offenses: Property

  • Decrease in Motor Vehicle Theft… down by 111!
  • We are still seeing vehicle related offenses such as TFA. Many multi-victim instances where the offenders are going through and breaking windows or trying door handles.

  • In addition to the online training, all officers received 50hours of instructor led training. These topics consisted of defensive tactics, use of force, firearms, taser, CPR, and Civil Disturbance.
  • Training for the department is influenced by several governing factors. These include but are not limited to: Exiger recommendations, IACLEA accreditation requirements, OPOTA requirements, and current events. These factors are the guideline for creating the upcoming year's training calendar.
