CTAG Permission

Career Transfer Assurance Guide (CTAG) credit is earned by completing coursework and assessments—e.g., WebXam or Certification Exams—at an approved Ohio secondary or adult-career technical institution. This type of credit is eligible for transfer credit at UC, but it is the student's responsibility to accept the credit.

UC is required by the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) to obtain your consent to receive transfer credit for earned CTAGs; we cannot automatically award this credit without your approval. If you received an email asking for your approval, our records indicate that you have at least one unclaimed CTAG due to one of the following reasons:

  • You declined college credit at the time of the CTAG exam
  • No response was indicated at the time of the CTAG exam

Please fill out the form below to approve or decline your CTAG transfer credit.

If you approve the transfer credit, we will post your credit within 3–5 business days. Once processed, the credit can be viewed by logging into Catalyst and navigating to My Academics → Academics → Transfer Credit.

We highly recommend reviewing your course schedule to ensure you are not enrolled in a course in which you have received transfer credit. This helps prevent you from repeating coursework unnecessarily.

Any questions regarding credits applied to your requirements and academic planning should be directed to your assigned academic advisor.
