Gender Identity & Sex Marker Updates

To update your Gender Identity preferences, follow the below instructions.

1. Log into Catalyst, and click on the My Profile tile.
2. Make sure Personal Details is selected on the left–hand side of the screen.
3. Select the Biographic tab on the right–hand side of the screen.
4. In the middle of the page, open the section titled Gender Identity.
5. To update your Gender Identity or Preferred Pronouns, click the arrow at the right of that field.
6. A pop–up window with a drop–down menu will provide you with options.
7. Select the option with which you identify, then click the green Save button.

To use the form, you will need to sign into your UC account with your username and password. If you are no longer a current student, please email us at reginfo@uc.edu for assistance.

Changing the name associated with your record is a process separate from updating your sex marker. Changing the legal name associated with your student record continues to require the submission of legal name change documentation. You may, however, change your preferred name in Catalyst or Canvas at any time.
