Utilities Safety Committee was established to insure a safe environment for the Utility and Campus Community.  Our Safety Committee helps address safety issues and risks by recommending corrective actions and interventions.

The goal of this group is to bring employees together to achieve and maintain a safe, healthful workplace.  This is accomplished by eliminating workplace injuries by involving all employees in the identification and elimination of hazards.

Objectives

• Involve employees in achieving a safe, healthful workplace
• Promptly review all safety related near misses, incidents, injuries, accidents, and illnesses
• Conduct routine workplace inspections, identify hazards, and recommend solutions to eliminate or control the hazard
• Conduct regular workplace safety and health process reviews and recommend process improvements
