Frequently asked questions

Will my credits transfer to UC?

If you earned your credits at a regionally accredited institution your credits will transfer to UC. You can use our Transfer Equivalency Database (TED) to look up your courses and find the UC equivalent. If one or more of your courses is not in our database, it means that it has not yet been reviewed for equivalency. You will need to send official transcripts and complete your application for a full evaluation to be completed. UC accepts OT36. TAG. CTAG, ITAG, AP and IB courses and we encourage you to work with an advisor to best understand the application of your credits.
 

How will my classes apply to my intended degree?

Our transfer advisors can help you understand how your credits will apply to your degree and thus approximately how long it will take to complete your degree. To request an appointment, please fill out this form and an advisor will reach out.
 

How do I apply to UC as a transfer student?

The transfer application to UC is simple and easy. Simply visit the University’s Online Transfer Application, fill out your application, submit transcripts from any school you have attended (high school transcripts are needed if you have earned less than 24 hours), and pay an application fee. What are the deadlines for upcoming semesters?

Most colleges follow the general deadlines of March 1 for Summer, July 1 for Fall, and November 1 for Spring. However, for competitive programs there may be other dates. Please check our dates and deadlines page for more information.
 

Are there scholarships available to transfer students?
