- This award recognizes individuals for demonstrating excellence in their craft and showing outstanding membership within the band. There is a separate award for both instrumental and visual performers.
- Instrumental: awarded to outstanding musicians who have demonstrated excellence in their college band programs.
- Visual: awarded to an outstanding visual performer enrolled or actively participating in a music-related group.
