To attend any special program or event, sign up at the Rec Center's Member Services desk by calling 513-556-0604 ext 2 or Register online on our Membership Portal.   

Start this Fall! The challenge begins August 26th.

Can you make it a full 50 days?  For the 2024 Spring Extreme Swim Challenge the goal is to swim 50 times throughout the entire semester.  Pick a difficulty with a different distance to swim each visit.  Must log 50 visits or more to complete the challenge.  

The first 4 to finish in each category will win a t-shirt! 

  • Beginner: 20 lengths (500 yards) each visit = Total 25,000 yards/ 14.7 miles 
  • Intermediate: 32 lengths (800 yards) each visit- Total 40,000 yards / 23.5 miles 
  • EXTREME: 68 lengths (1700 yards) each visit- Total 85,000 yards / 50 MILES  

Cost

  • Members can enter for $10 
  • Non-members are not eligible to participate  
  • Registration is ongoing until February 1st.   

Rules

  • Swimming must be completed from August 26th - December 1st  
  • For your laps to count, you must record them immediately on the tally sheets outside the lifeguard office.  
  • All swimming, kicking, and aqua jogging will count.   
  • Laps completed during programmed activities like swim team practice or education classes DO NOT count.

Need a break before diving into finals? We've got your back! Join us for an afternoon of relaxation and rejuvenation at our Float into Finals Pool Party. Immerse yourself in a stress-free zone, unwind, and let the pre-finals worries float away!

We will Be serving Free Soda Floats and offering Floating time in the Leisure Pool.

How to Join:

  • Grab your swimsuit and a friend (or two).

  • Head to the CRC Pool before finals!

  • Dive in, relax, and let the pre-final stress float away!

Make a splash at our annual Splash into Spring formally known as cannonball contest. Each participant will get the opportunity to show us their best splash off of the diving boards in the UC Campus Recreation Center diving well. 

Participants will compete for the best splash in 3 categories and the winner will get a FREE Campus Recreation t-shirt as well as the chance to jump from the 3-meter-high dive!

When: Wednesday, September 4th, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Cost: FREE for students and members 

Prize: Winners will receive sets of swim bags, goggles, and swim caps!

Cost: $10 for members and $15 for non-members
