Lifeguarding Certification Classes
Registration
All participants are required to pass a pre-skills test before the first class. To participate in this course, you must attend all class dates within the course.
The total cost of $350 for nonmembers or $300 for members must be paid prior to the pre-skills assessment. In the event that you are unable to complete the pre-skills assessment, a refund of the registration cost minus a $75 deposit will be given.
This is a blended learning course. Part of the course requirement is to complete 7 hours of online training prior to the start of class. This will be sent to you via email upon completion of your pre-skills assessment.

*If you work an average of 15 hours a week from May 12, 2025- August 10, 2025
The pay rate is $12.15/hour with a $1/hr increase during the summer semester

March 10: 7-8pm
Lifeguard Course dates (must attend all of class dates)
- Saturday, March 22, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Sunday, March 23, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Saturday, March 29, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Sunday, March 30, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Course Entrance Requirements
- 200 yard continuous swim, front crawl and/or breaststroke.
- Swim 20 yards to the deepest end of the pool, surface dive to 7-10 foot depth, retrieve a 10 pound brick, return to the surface and swim back to the starting point, keeping face at/ near surface, holding the 10 pound brick with both hands.
- Tread water for 2 minutes using legs only.

Lifeguard Pre-skill Practice Time
Not feeling comfortable with these pre-course skills? That's okay! We are also hosting a preskills prep course. Where we'll be going over the preskills and giving you a chance to practice them before you do them for real. This is NOT a requirement for entry into the Lifeguard Class.

CPR for Professional Rescuers Certification Classes
This CPR for Professional Rescuers course is specifically designed for those in need of the higher-level CPR certification (multi-rescuer response and BVM) and does not include first aid.
Registration
The total cost of $100 for nonmembers or $85 for members must be paid prior to the pre-skills assessment.
This is a blended learning course. Part of the course requirement is to complete 3 hours of online training prior to the start of class. This will be sent to you via email.
