Get to Know Hannah Donlinar, LPC (She|Her)
Hannah Dolinar, she/her, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) located at both the College of Engineering and Applied Science and the UC CAPS Calhoun location. She is currently working as a Clinical Fellow at CAPS. She graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is licensed to practice under supervision in Ohio.
Hannah’s therapeutic style is varied and broad, but she grounds herself in a person-centered, strengths-based, value-driven approach. She aims to provide a comforting, empowering, and non-judgmental space for clients to focus on what is most important to them. She has experience working with clients with various presenting concerns, such as anxiety, depression, substance use, identity development, values exploration, life changes, and relationship conflicts.
In her free time, Hannah enjoys spending time with her partner and their two cats (Merry and Pippin), reading, cooking, relaxing on the couch watching a comfort show or psychological thriller, crocheting, exercising, trying new restaurants, and spending time in nature.
Podcasts I enjoy: Unlocking Us, We Can Do Hard Things, Pillow Talks, Where Should We Begin?, Hidden Brain, This American Life
Coping skills I recommend to clients that I actually use myself: Getting out in nature, taking a technology break, walking, grounding techniques (the five senses, counting colors), taking slow/deep breaths, getting adequate sleep, exercise.
