Welcome to Commencement at the University of Cincinnati! This is a momentous occasion where we celebrate the achievements of our graduating students and their journey towards success. Below you’ll find key information about the ceremony.

Summer 2025 Commencement
- Date: Friday, August 8, 2025
- Location: Fifth Third Arena
- Doors Open: 12:30pm
- Graduating Student Check-in: 12:30pm - 1:30pm
- Ceremony Begins: 2:00pm
- One ceremony includes all colleges, all degrees
Ceremony Information
Tickets
Tickets are required for entry to Commencement for both graduates and guests. Graduating students are sent instructions and a deadline to claim their student ticket and guest tickets.
Safety
Guests are permitted to bring signs which are hand-held and no greater than 11" x 17". Any signs of a larger size are prohibited. This is to ensure a clear view of the ceremony for all attendees. Signs, banners, and flags may not be hung or fastened anywhere. The staff reserves the right to remove any flag, banner or sign that fails to comply with University rules and policies.
Please note that Fifth Third Arena has a clear bag policy in place for all events. Ensure you review the Approved Item Policy before attending your ceremony. Strollers and balloons are not permitted in venue.
Livestream and Program
Tune in to the ceremony livestream to celebrate with us virtually! A link to the livestream will be posted here on the day of the ceremony. No password or registration is required to view the livestream. The Commencement program will also be available on the livestream page.
