Lavender Graduation Celebration is an annual celebration conducted each spring on numerous campuses to honor lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and ally students and to acknowledge their achievements and contributions to the University. Tyehimba is the Afrocentric celebration designed for graduates of the University of Cincinnati to acknowledge their achievements. The word Tyehimba means “We Stand as a Nation,” and this celebration recognizes students and the village that have helped them reach this milestone.
