My UHP experience in five words
enriching, stimulating, rigorous, transformative, collaborative
Why UHP is for me
UHP is for me for several reasons. It has helped me find a community of like-minded, motivated peers who are equally dedicated to their education. Access to additional resources such as specialized advising, exclusive events, honors housing, and priority registration is also a perk. But perhaps the most important part of the program for me is that it has opened up so many opportunities spanning from research to interesting honors seminars.
An honors experience I'll never forget
My favorite honors experience was being a Honors Welcome Experience Mentor!
Advice for anyone interested in UHP
Balance and self-care are extremely important. While the UHP offers fantastic opportunities for academic and personal growth, it's crucial for them not to overwhelm themselves with too many involvements, and it's equally important to prioritize well-being and maintain a healthy balance between academic pursuits, extracurricular activities, and personal life.
What my future holds
I am also working as a Supplemental Instruction (SI) leader and Resident Advisor (RA) at UC. As a pre-med student, I am also working towards getting into medical school.
