Description
This course encourages students to think about how movies both reflect and influence societies around the globe, and about the role movies play in shaping conceptions of gender and nationalism across cultures. Students will learn analytical methods, including both humanistic and social scientific approaches, from Film Studies, Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and Political Science, and apply them to films from around the world.
