2022-23 Fulbright Recipients
Kabelo Chirwa
Kabelo Chirwa is a graduate assistant and PhD candidate and Albert C. Yates fellow in the musicology program at CCM. He is a recipient of the Fulbright Study/Research grant in Nigeria.
Adam Elzarka
Adam Elzarka is a fourth-year student double majoring in Medical Sciences and Liberal Arts with concentrations in Arabic, Philosophy, and Psychology. He is a recipient of the Fulbright Study/Research grant in Jordan.
Connor Herbert
Connor Herbert is a UC Alumnus with a BA in Political Science and International Affairs. He is a recipient of the Fulbright-Durham University Award in the UK.

Jane Cox
Jane Cox, a Louisville, Kentucky native, graduated in 2021 with a degree in speech language and hearing sciences with a minor in Spanish. She is a semi-finalist for Fulbright ETA grant in Brazil.
Anna Guan
Anna Guan is a grad student at the UC College of Medicine’s Special Master’s Program in Physiology. She completed her Peace Corps service in Senegal, West Africa, and is a semi-finalist for the Fulbright-Garcia Robles Study/Research grant in Mexico.
Riley Owens
Riley Owens is a UC alumnus with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics with a minor in Mathematics. He is a semi-finalist for the Fulbright Study/Research grant in the United Arab Emirates.
Ria Parikh
Ria Parikh is a 4th year Neuroscience and English major, with minors in Psychology and Medical Sciences and a certificate in Medical Humanities. She is an alternate for the Fulbright-Imperial College London Award.
Lily Stewart
Lily Stewart is a fourth-year student pursuing a major in English, minor in Biology, and certificate in Medical Humanities. She is a semi-finalist for the Fulbright ETA grant in Montenegro.
Erin Tedtman
Erin Tedtman is a senior honors student pursuing BAs in International Affairs and Political Science. She is an alternate for the Fulbright-University of Turku Graduate Award in Finland.

Stephanie Cuyubamba Kong
Stephanie Cuyubamba Kong is a 2021 DAAP graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and certificate in Critical Visions. She is a recipient of the Fulbright Study/Research: Arts Grant in Peru.
Regina Kazanjian
Regina is a 2015 alumni of DAAP who runs her footwear business, leads Indigo Hippo as board president, teaches as an adjunct at DAAP, and manages projects for a creative agency. She is a recipient of the Fulbright Aalto University Graduate Award.
Lynn Pickering
Lynn Pickering is a UC PhD candidate in Aerospace Engineering, after graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. She is a recipient of the Fulbright Ghent University Award in Belgium.
Isabel Slonneger
Isabel Slonneger (she/her) will be graduating this Spring with a Bachelor's in International Affairs and Environmental Studies. She is a recipient of the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in Spain.
Mariam Soliman
Mariam Soliman graduated from UC in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Childhood Education who wants to be a voice and advocate for young people affected by educational inequity. She is a recipient of the Fulbright ETA in Turkey.

Thomas M. Croke V is a Ph.D. candidate in Musicology at the College-Conservatory of Music. His research focuses on the legacy of the illness and death of Polish composer Fryderyk Chopin. He is a semi-finalist for the Fulbright US Student Program.
Jack Fogle
Jack Fogle is a fourth year student graduating this semester with a dual degree in Biology and Neuroscience, minors in Psychology and Chemistry. Jack is a Darwin T Turner Scholar and a semi-finalist for the Fulbright US Student Program.
Maya Gulani
Maya Gulani is pursuing a BA in Political Science, International Affairs, and German Studies as well as certificates in Religious Studies and War, Peace, and Security. She is a semi-finalist for the Fulbright US Student Program.
Joyner Horn
Joyner Horn received her Master of Music in Voice from CCM in 2020. She aims to explore the ways theatre can be used as a vehicle for social change. She is an alternate for the Fublright John Wood LAMDA Award in Classical Acting.

Matthew Raj is a recent graduate of the University of Cincinnati, earning dual degrees in Medical Sciences and Spanish with a minor in Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies. He is a recipient of the Fulbright ETA in Mexico.
