Sam Dell

Sam is in his fourth year of undergraduate studies at UC as an English and French double-major in the College of Arts & Sciences. As an LCS (Literary and Cultural Studies) track English major, he focuses his studies on literature and how it both affects and is an effect of society. Double-majoring in French affords him the additional ability to pull from a larger body of perspectives in global literature. Additionally, translation studies and comparative literature naturally present themselves to him as avenues for further exploration of the relationship between people and the things that they write. In 2024, He was named an alternate for the French in Senegal scholarship offered by the Boren African Flagship Languages Initiative.

Upon finishing he undergraduate degrees, he intents to pursue graduate programs for both English and French. His ultimate goal is to be an instructor and/ or researcher in some capacity, be it domestically or abroad as a professor of English or French literature.
