Commuter Students
Hello, traveling Bearcats!
Student Affairs works to connect all Bearcats to our campus by sharing important resources, involvement opportunities, and other experiences to help you find your community and sense of belonging. We are working to continually grow resources, programming, and other opportunities for commuter students to get involved at UC.
Visit the Commuter Student Lounge
UC's newly-updated Commuter Student Lounge is located in Steger Student Life Center on the 6th Floor. The lounge includes various resources, including comfortable seating, television, tables, accessible charging outlets, games, whiteboard, sink, microwaves, and a printer. The lounge is open from 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday.
Directions: Enter Steger Student Life Center across from CenterCourt dining center. Take the elevator or stairs to the 6th floor. Turn right and go down the hallway past the bathrooms approximately 50 feet to arrive at the Commuter Student Lounge.
Attend Commuter Programming
Throughout this semester, we offer programs specifically for commuter students in the Commuter Student Lounge that give you the opportunity to learn about resources in Student Affairs and meet with professional staff members to learn about their programs and opportunities to get connected!
Throughout the Spring 2025 Semester, commuting students are invited to the following events:
- Bring Your Own Lunch to Commuter Student Lounge on Monday, February 24 at 11:00 am-1:00 pm
- Off-Campus Meet Up at Fable Cafe in Cheviot on Wednesday, March 5 at 7:00 pm-9:00 pm
- Off-Campus Meet Up at Factory 52 (near Jeni's Ice Cream) in Norwood on Tuesday, April 15 at 7:00 pm-9:00 pm
- End of Semester Breakfast in Commuter Student Lounge on Wednesday, April 23 at 9:00 am-11:00 am
