Events and Facility Operations

General Functions
  • General event preparation, setup, and oversight
  • Provide customer service, support, and problem solving
  • Basic AV systems setup and troubleshooting
  • Assist in emergency situations and response
  • Open and close facilities and ensure overall building security
  • General facility oversight
  • Assist with facility projects, basic equipment maintenance, and equipment inventory
  • Submit work orders, shift reports, and incident reports
  • Basic use of scheduling and computer based systems and reporting

Expectations
Able to work approximately 10-20 hours per week, Sunday-Saturday, morning, afternoon, night and weekend shifts. 


Bearcats Package Center Operations

General Functions
  • General Package handling and security - transport, scanning, locating, and storing
  • Frequent and repetitive lifting of 50lbs
  • Provide customer service, support, and problem solving
  • Open and close package center and ensure overall security
  • Regular cleaning, servicing, organizing, and inventory of operational equipment
  • General package center oversight and daily operations
  • Basic use of computer-based package handling systems and reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

Expectations
Able to work approximately 10-20 hours per week, Sunday-Saturday, morning, afternoon, night and weekend shifts. 


Connection Center/Event Scheduling

No positions available.  All positions are currently filled.   

General Functions
  • Serve as the first-point-of-contact for customers and visitors in Tangeman University Center
  • Answer customer's inquires via telephone, email, or in person at the information desk 
  • Process Bearcat Card deposits and refunds, troubleshoot issues
  • Operate a cash register system
  • Work in 25Live to schedule space in TUC, Stratford Heights, Classrooms and outdoor MainStreet spaces for UC student, faculty, and staff
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail
  • Run errands
  • Assist at conferences with on-site registrations, as needed
  • Assist MainStreet operation staff with events
  • Assist with special projects when assigned
  • Miscellaneous conference facilitation, scheduling and office duties

Expectations
Able to work approximately 10-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.  Experience working with cash registers is preferred.  Experience with Microsoft Office strongly preferred. Experience with database software a plus. Good customer service and communication skills.


Dock Operations

No positions available.  All positions are currently filled.   

General Functions
  • Receive/deliver packages, pallets of product for TUC and enter into WTS database
  • Deliver packages within TUC to appropriate locations/individuals
  • Answer interior doors for delivery drivers, event drop-offs to allow entry into secured area inside dock
  • Open and close/secure the dock as shifts dictate
  • Answer phones for dock related calls
  • Keep general dock office area clean and well maintained
  • Work involves inclement weather conditions inside, but still can be hot/cold per the different seasons
  • Guide delivery drivers to their proper delivery sites within the building

Expectations
Able to work approximately 10-15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 5:30 am and 5:00 pm.
