UC Feminists
The UC Feminists exist to start and continue conversations around intersectional social justice and to engage in activism regarding issues that they are passionate about. This student organization is a great fit for those looking to build community, lear more about feminism, and putting feminism into action.
UC Generation Action
UC Generation Action is a member of Planned Parenthood Generation Action. UC Generation Action exists to educate the university community about reproductive health and rights, to translate increased awareness into pro-choice activism on campus, and to serve as a coaltition partner to state, national, and internantional reproductive rights efforts. They believe in the fundamental right of every individual to manage their body. UC Generation Action supports full access to comprehensive reproductive and complementary health care services in settings that preserve and protect the essential privacy and rights of each indivdual; advocates for public policies that guarantee these rights and ensure access to such services; and supports access to medically accurate educational programs that enhance understanding of human sexuality. UC Generation Action aims to provide students and members with the power and resources to organize and make change within their community. This student organization is a great fit for those looking to be catalysts for change, are passionate about reproductive health and freedom, or want to learn more about organizing.
Unite for Reproductive and Gender Equity
Unite for Reproductive and Gender Equity (URGE) is driven by young leaders. They build infrastructure through campus chapters, where they invite individuals to discover their own power and transform it into action. Together, URGE members educate their communities and advocate for local, state, and national policies in solidarity with other justice focused groups. They work together to build strong communities where sexual health is valued, reproductive rights are upheld, and each body is celebrated and supported to be well, happy, and thriving. This student organization is a great fit for those looking to work collaboratively to build partnerships with other organizations, participate in innovative and fun programming, and has a commitment and passion to gender justice and reproductive freedom.
