New Employee Orientation

Reach out to your supervisor for instructions to confirm the building and room location/number, where to park, and what time you are expected to arrive on your first day. If you’re not sure who your supervisor is, check your offer letter or contact the HR professional you’ve been communicating with about the hiring process.

Access and complete the online new employee paperwork, through the link provided in the “Welcome to UC!” email you received.  Make sure to bring the original ID(s) you used to complete part I of the online Form I-9, with you to  New Employee Orientation. (Per U.S. government regulations, documents must be originals. UC is unable to accept copies of documents, with the exception that a birth certificate may be a certified copy.) Check the list of acceptable documents if you’re unsure which documents are needed to complete the I-9.

Orientation takes place every Monday from 1:00 pm-4:30 pm. If the University is closed on Monday (for any reason, including holidays or inclement weather), orientation will be held the following business day.

University Hall, Suite 340 is located at 51 Goodman Drive, Cincinnati, OH, 45221. Plan to park in Kingsgate Garage and take the elevators on the west side of the garage to the third floor. If Kingsgate Garage is full, overflow parking is available in Eden Garage. A voucher will be provided for your parking on your first day.  University Hall is also accessible by the Bearcat Shuttle service.

You’ll be welcomed by Human Resources staff who will help you complete the I-9 verification process. IMPORTANT: Remember to bring the original ID(s) you used to complete part I of the online Form I-9. You won’t be able to complete the I-9 process without those identifying documents, and this process must be completed within 3 days of your start date.  Per government regulations, UC is unable to accept copies of documents other than a certified copy of a birth certificate. After completing the I-9 process, you’ll be taken to the fourth floor for the presentation portion of New Employee Orientation. This session will provide an overview of UC’s history, introduce you to the University’s strategic goals, and provide time to learn and ask questions about the benefits package.
