
Blackboard update coming in December
On Dec. 21 Blackboard will undergo several updates to introduce new and enhanced features, fix bugs and improve stability and security
Blackboard, UC’s Learning Management System, will be updated in December to introduce new and enhanced features, fix bugs and improve stability and security.
The update is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 21 beginning at 7 a.m. Changes are expected to take approximately eight hours to complete. During this time Blackboard services will be unavailable, but are anticipated to be restored by 3 p.m.

Changes users will see include:
- Dramatically different visual layout of the Canopy Landing Page.
- Availability of Blackboard Ally in all courses.
- Grade Center columns improvements.
- Course Availability toggle updates.
- Kaltura building block updates.
Scheduling considerations have been taken into account, including grade submissions and course preparation for spring semester.
If you experience any difficulties within Blackboard before or after the update, please see IT@UC’s 1-2-3 Support Options which include the IT@UC Knowledge Base, 24/7 Canopy Support, and the Help Desk available at (513) 556-HELP (4357). You may also report issues online by submitting a UCIT Helpdesk ticket.

Her journey to the University of Cincinnati was facilitated by her former undergraduate advisor connecting her with her current PhD advisor. Upon her arrival, she wasted no time getting involved in the UC community, serving as a TA for five courses in the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering and Construction Management, serving on the executive board of the Civil Engineering Graduate Student Association, and was recently named Graduate Student Engineer of the Month by the College of Engineering and Applied Science.
