Register now for UC's electrical engineering and computer science summer camp

Applications are open for the 2019 Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Summer Camp. High school students (excluding seniors set to graduate this spring) of any grade level are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is Saturday, March 2.

The camp is two weeks long and will take place July 8–12 and July 15–19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the University of Cincinnati’s uptown campus. The registration and camp fee is $400. Most activities will take place within computer and design study labs in UC’s College of Engineering and Applied Science.

Over the two weeks, campers will see engineering through various lenses, including lectures, hands-on projects and presentations of industrial applications and research projects. Professors and graduate students will introduce campers to two of the most important concepts in programming: correctness and efficiency of an algorithm.

Campers will write programs for solving simple problems. Their activities will culminate in a multidisciplinary electronics and programming project that they will take home. Camp organizers will provide access to computers and software and extensive support for these projects.
