UC Communications researcher Abel Gustafson lead author on study of news and climate change

Abel Gustafson, an assistant professor in the Department of Communications, is the lead author on a new study showing that major news audiences want more information on climate change.

The report, conducted by Gustafson and faculty at two other academic institutions, garnered media attention in several science publications, including Science Magazine.

“Fewer than 20% of Americans in any of these news audiences feel they are 'very well informed' about climate change," Gustafson notes.
