PRINT: Post-pandemic design education — Where do we go from here?
UC design school director reflects on COVID's impact on education
Instructors of all kinds have had to develop alternative methods of teaching students in the age of COVID-19.
PRINT Magazine reached out educators, including the University of Cincinnati's Gjoko Muratovski, to discuss how some of these new methods will become permanent fixtures in education.
Muratovski is director of the Myron E. Ullman Jr. School of Design in UC's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.
"Despite the lack of hands-on exposure, the student evaluations of remote teaching during the pandemic registered higher satisfaction scores than under normal circumstances," he told PRINT. "Clearly, this generation of digital natives appreciates having more flexible teaching and learning models, even when they are missing out on in-person engagement."
