Return to campus reminders from President Pinto

UC President Neville Pinto shared the below message on June 24

As we make our way through Summer Semester and plan for Fall, I’m encouraged that we anticipate a more robust experience for our students and university community. To best serve our students, the expectation is that every office will be open and fully staffed no later than July 15.

Below are some important reminders:

  • Fully vaccinated: Individuals who have been fully vaccinated are no longer required to wear a facial covering or social distance while on campus except, per CDC guidance, on buses, e.g., UC shuttle. Learn More
  • Unvaccinated: Individuals who have not been fully vaccinated are required to wear a facial covering and maintain social distancing when indoors except when eating/drinking or alone in a private room or office, unless otherwise legally exempt. Learn More
  • Shared office/Work areas: We will currently continue to plan for 6-feet social distancing for all shared office and workspaces where individuals are or may be sharing space for an entire work shift or day; and to space tables in campus eateries and dining facilities. Learn More

UC's physician-led COVID Response Team advocates for vaccination as a safe and significant contributor to the safety of our community, and we strongly recommend it to all faculty, staff and students who are able to be vaccinated.
