Political scientist Gregory Winger outlines an agreement with the Philippines
Rising Chinese assertiveness and harassment of Philippine vessels has kept the South China Sea simmering, and the definitions in an long-forgotten agreement with the Philippines could have huge ramifications. UC political scientist Gregory Winger explains this in a piece he wrote for The Washington Post.
Winger is an assistant professor of political science at the University of Cincinnati. He is also a fellow with the National Asia Research Program and a participant in the Pacific Forum’s U.S.-Philippines’ Next Generation Leaders Initiative.
