Pizza tasting event supports UC Cancer Center

Enjoy all the pizza you can eat 5-9 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Yeatman’s Cove during the eighth annual Slice Night, a pizza tasting event benefitting the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center.

Slice Night is a family-friendly event featuring unlimited pizza from more than 10 local pizzerias and local music and entertainment provided by Q102.

“We live in the greatest community in the world and it is so important that those living here have the opportunity for the healthiest, happiest, and longest lives possible,” said William Barrett, MD, professor and chair of the UC Department of Radiation Oncology and co-director of the UC Cancer Center. “We are diligently working to minimize the burden of cancer in our community — for Greater Cincinnati to have both the lowest rate of cancer and the best possible outcomes.”

Tickets are available in advance for $20, or $25 at the door. Tickets for children are $5 and required for those ten and under. VIP tickets are $75 and include a parking pass and access to a VIP tent which features a private open bar, seating, pizza sampling and dessert. Visit foundation.uc.edu/slicenight to purchase tickets in advance.

“We are excited to return to Yeatman’s Cove for our eighth year of Slice Night,” said Syed Ahmad, MD, director of UC’s Pancreatic Disease Center and co-director of the UC Cancer Center. “It will be a great night and we are most thankful for all of you being a part of our team in fighting this disease.”
