The University of Cincinnati’s annual, family-friendly outing at Great American Ball Park with the Cincinnati Reds is Saturday, Aug. 21, when the Reds host the Miami Marlins. The first 1,000 tickets purchased for Bearcats at the Ballpark will receive an exclusive Reds- and UC-branded slap koozie. The first 15,000 fans entering the stadium will also receive a “Super Saturday” Marty Brennaman pennant. UC will host a hospitality area and a photo booth and offer giveaways Great American Ball Park’s Machine Room in the left-field corner area. In addition, all fans with a game ticket can stay afterward for an “I Love the ’90s” Ohio Lottery Postgame Concert featuring Vanilla Ice, Naughty By Nature, Tone Loc and Rob Base.

UC President Neville Pinto will deliver the official baseball for the game, while Director of Athletics John Cunningham will make the ceremonial first pitch. Bearcats at the Ballpark’s honorary captain will be Jordan Thompson, the former UC Volleyball All-American and star of the USA’s gold medal-winning team at the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Game time is 6:40 p.m.; gates open at 5:10p.m. Discounted game tickets are available to members of the UC community for $15, $25 or $40, a portion of which benefits the university. Tickets must be purchased by Aug. 19.

Bearcats at the Ballpark is presented by the UC Foundation, the UC Alumni Association and UC Athletics in partnership with the Cincinnati Reds.
