International Jurist highlights UC Law’s LLM Program
Cincinnati Law’s LLM Program makes honor roll for value, law school experience
The International Jurist recently released its Best LLM Programs issue and lists Cincinnati Law’s program on its honor roll for law school experience and value. Cincinnati Law was one of the few schools to earn distinction in more than one category.
The International Jurist highlighted Cincinnati Law’s low tuition, as well as the scholarship guarantee for students admitted to the LLM program. For its Value rankings, the magazine assessed net cost—tuition and housing minus scholarships—as well as how well the schools performed in the law school experience and academic categories.
“Students are definitely looking for value,” Nora Burke Wagner, assistant dean for international programs, told the magazine. “Their number 1 concern is: How can I pay for this?”
In the law school experience category, the magazine looked at how law schools orient students to law school in the U.S. and the opportunities available to students to participate in extracurriculars and work with faculty and JD students.
The magazine pointed to Cincinnati Law’s intentionally small and close-knit program, as well as the fact that LLM students take classes alongside JD students, as reasons for the ranking.
“We do whatever we can to make our students comfortable,” Wagner told International Jurist. “We think of them as part of our family.”
The cost of living is relatively affordable in Cincinnati, the magazine notes, particularly compared to other large and medium-sized metro areas. On top of that, Cincinnati Law is the only law school in the city.
“We are THE law school in Cincinnati,” Wagner said.
About Cincinnati Law's LLM Program
The University of Cincinnati’s Master of Laws (LLM) in U.S. Law program has been helping foreign-trained attorneys pursue justice and advance the rule of law in society for nearly a decade. The LLM program is designed for practicing attorneys and law school graduates who received their legal education outside the United States. Graduates emerge fluent in the U.S. legal system and ready to launch their unlimited futures.
Cincinnati Law is also leading the way in affordability, offering LLM students one of the lowest tuition rates for a U.S. LLM program alongside generous scholarships as well. Interested in learning more? Request information today!
