Save the dates for CCM performances and events happening in fall 2021

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music presents more than 60 major events in fall 2021 as part of its CCMONSTAGE performance series. Tickets are on sale now through the CCM Box Office

This fall’s lineup of free and ticketed events includes faculty and guest artist recitals, fully supported theatre and dance productions, choral, winds, orchestral and jazz performances and much more! You can learn about CCM’s schedule of performing and media arts events by referring to the list below.

We will continue to announce our 2021-22 schedule of public performances in two-month intervals — audiences will learn more about our programming for January and February events in December! Performance information and updates will be shared on the CCM website and in our Next OnStage e-newsletter.

Ariel Quartet 
Described by the American Record Guide as "a consummate ensemble gifted with utter musicality and remarkable interpretive power," the Ariel Quartet has earned a glowing international reputation. The ensemble is comprised of Alexandra “Sasha” Kazovsky, violin; Amit Even-Tov, cello; Gershon Gerchikov, violin; and Jan Grüning, viola. The group was formed in Israel in 1998 and has served as CCM’s string quartet-in-residence since 2012. This performance is dedicated to the memory of Paul Sittenfeld.

His music is available on more than 60 commercial recordings and is performed frequently around the world. Vine served as a jury member for the 2019 Alexander Zemlinsky Prize for Composition.

Join us in CCM’s Watson Recital Hall to watch a concert that is simulcast from the University of Oklahoma School of Music. The viewing features the world premiere of No One Saves the Earth from Us But Us, a major song cycle commissioned by CCM Voice Professor Quinn Patrick Ankrum, mezzo-soprano; and Elizabeth Avery, pianist; and written by award-winning composer Lisa Neher with poetry by Felicia Zamora and Craig Santos Perez. The song cycle is generously funded by the UC Office of Research. The concert also features the world premiere of Earth Elements by Ioannis Andriotis, commissioned by Avery and tenor Joel Burcham, for piano, vocals, electric guitar, percussion and live electronics. Aya Yoshida, Winner of the 2019 Alexander Zemlinsky Prize for Composition   

Japanese composer Aya Yoshida’s works have been performed in Japan and Europe by a diverse range of soloists, ensembles and orchestras, including the performances by Curious Chamber Players in Viitasaari, Finland; by Arditti Quartet and by Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Copenhagen, Denmark. She recently won the 2019 Alexander Zemlinsky Prize for Composition for her 10-minute piece Double-face. The first prize award includes $30,000 along with a new orchestral commission for dance. The commissioned piece will receive a world premiere by the CCM Philharmonia and CCM Ballet Ensemble during the CCMONSTAGE Dance Works performances on Dec. 2-5.

All of CCM's free and ticketed events will have digital programs instead of printed programs. QR codes will be displayed at events to give access to the digital programs to patrons. The programs are also accessibile through the links below. Programs for events will be shared shortly before the event date.

Inclement Weather Policy: In the event of inclement weather conditions, CCM will handle the cancellation of events and performances as follows: if the University of Cincinnati is closed, all CCM performances on that day will be cancelled.

Ticket discounts are available for UC and non-UC students and groups.

CCM’s Box Office is open Mon-Fri from 12:30-6 p.m., Sat. from 12-4 p.m. and one hour prior to curtain for ticketed performances. Hours subject to change based on the University of Cincinnati calendar.

Advance Sales

Want to guarantee your seat? Current CCM students can purchase up to two tickets for each CCMONSTAGE concert and production at the discounted rate of just $5 per ticket. Tickets must be purchased in person at the CCM Box Office. A valid student ID is required.

Rush Tickets

Current CCM students also have the opportunity to attend most CCMONSTAGE events at no charge through student rush. CCM student rush tickets become available two days before each concert performance and one hour prior to the start of each theatre arts (dance, plays, musicals, opera) performance. CCM student rush tickets subject to availability. Tickets must be requested in person at the CCM Box Office. A valid student ID is required.

Parking and Directions

Parking is available in the CCM Garage (located at the base of Corry Boulevard off Jefferson Avenue) and additional garages throughout the UC campus. CCMONSTAGE patrons can order prepaid parking at $10 for each ticketed fall performance selected. Prepaid parking is date/performance specific. CCM Garage parking rates for fall performances or special events is usually available for $10-$15.
