UC Blue Ash welcomes new assistant dean of academic affairs

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is pleased to welcome Temesha Corbin as the new assistant dean of academic affairs.

Corbin brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education and a passion for student development and success. She has served in a variety of roles with increasing responsibility in settings that include public universities and open access institutions. She earned her undergraduate degree in Spanish from Furman University and her master’s in education from Miami University.

Corbin spent the past five years as director of academic advising at UC Clermont College. In that role, she helped establish the Advising Center, developed new standards for the office, and initiated processes to ensure that academic advisors collaborate regularly with other campus offices to enhance the support they provide to their students. Corbin also served on the University of Cincinnati Academic Standing Appeals Committee that reviews the appeals of students who want to return from university suspension.

“Temesha is a dynamic leader who has demonstrated her dedication to supporting student success throughout her career,” says UC Blue Ash Dean Robin Lightner. “She has a team-first attitude and a data-driven approach to assessment that make her a perfect fit for this leadership position and for our college.”

As assistant dean of academic affairs, Corbin will oversee the academic advising and career services offices while serving as the primary point of contact in administration for students. She will also lead a variety of initiatives focused on supporting students on their path toward earning their degree
