Honor graduates, academic award winners, and other exceptional students at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College were recently recognized in a special event.

The college hosted 2022 Celebrating the Best on April 28 as a walk-through event with stations for student awards, honor cords, gift bags, meet the dean, official photos, selfies, and a 360 photo booth. There was music and food for honorees and their guests, and the UC Bearcat made an appearance to add to the fun.

Eighteen students from academic departments across the college were nominated for Honor Student of the Year. This year’s winner is Monica Weber, a veterinary technology major who was surprised with the good news by UC Blue Ash Dean Robin Lightner and Veterinary Technology Department Chair, Jennifer Wells. The moment was captured in a video and shared on the college’s social media sites.

“I feel very grateful. I’m so surprised, I did not think I would get this. This is awesome,” Weber said after learning that she is the Honor Student of the Year.
