'Community Conversations' on housing systems in Cincinnati

School of Design students host public forums on how housing frames communities: Nov. 12 & Nov. 18

A student led project from UC’s College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) gives an overview of how institutional investors in single family rentals in Cincinnati are of concern for many neighborhoods because of rising rents/poor home maintenance/potential decreases in homeownership rates.

The project is part of a housing system course in DAAP’s School of Design and includes a podcast series and two upcoming “community conversations” with community leaders and elected officials. The meetings are open to the public.

The first community conversation is 9-11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, at the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (Room 3430), and the second community conversation 2-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, via Zoom.
