CCM Piano faculty give recital for U.S. Library of Congress

UC College-Conservatory of Music Piano Professors Soyeon Kate Lee and Ran Dank recently gave a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D minor, as arranged by Franz Liszt, for the U.S. Library of Congress. The December 12 concert recording will be cataloged and preserved in the library for generations to come.

CCM alumna Karen Zhang wins prestigious MTNA Teacher Fellowship

CCM alumna Karen Zhang (BM Piano Performance, ’16; MM Piano Performance, ’18) is the 2020 recipient of the Music Teachers National Association’s MarySue Harris Studio Teacher Fellowship. This $3,000 grant, funded by the MarySue Harris Endowment Fund, is presented annually to a recently graduated independent studio music teacher who demonstrates commitment to the music teaching profession and outstanding studio development.

CCM piano student wins prize at 14th International Piano Competition of Orléans

UC College-Conservatory of Music DMA piano student Yaoyue Huang won the Alberto Ginastera prize at the 14th International Piano Competition of Orléans. CCM piano professor featured in CSO livestream concert on Dec. 5

Awadagin Pratt, a UC College-Conservatory of Music Professor of Piano and Artist-in-Residence, isn’t letting the COVID-19 pandemic keep him away from the concert hall or the teaching studio. Between now and the end of 2020, he will be a featured soloist on at three performances alongside the Vancouver, Lima, and Cincinnati symphonies.

US Coast Guard Band's 'Heartland Harmonies' tour presents concert at CCM

The United States Coast Guard Band brings its "Heartland Harmonies" concert tour to UC's College-Conservatory of Music on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. The free concert is presented in Corbett Auditorium as part of the band's tour through the American South and Midwest regions for public performances and educational outreach.
