Career Studio: UC students push professional goals forward

Toward that end, University of Cincinnati students, working through the Bearcat Promise Career Studio, serve as Peer Career Coaches, mentoring students with advice for building resumés and cover letters, interviewing, navigating career platforms such as LinkedIn and Handshake, and upcoming virtual career fairs. The Bearcat Promise Career Studio, opened in 2019 in UC’s Tangeman University Center, offers full-service job search coaching to students seeking their next step out of college. UC hopes frogs inspire students to leap into STEM

A University of Cincinnati biologist is working with teachers at two Cincinnati public schools to help them explain evolution using frogs that biologist Lucinda Lawson studies in Africa. Lawson works with Hyperolius frogs, a genus of 150 to 200 colorful species, including one she and her research partners discovered in 2019 that was new to science.

UC breaks summer enrollment record two years running

June 24, 2021

UC welcomes its largest summer class in university history by nearly 500 students. Preliminary summer 2021 enrollment is at 20,618 students, up 2.4% from 2020, when UC previously surpassed the university’s summer enrollment record. The upward trajectory represents a longtime trend in summer enrollment.
