His enduring commitment to excellence and his contributions to the engineering industry and his community were recently celebrated by his alma mater. Boswell was presented with the 2023 Herman Schneider Distinguished Alumni Award by the University of Cincinnati Alumni Association and the UC College of Engineering and Applied Science.

Seven engineering faculty join UC

The University of Cincinnati’s College of Engineering and Applied Science welcomed seven new faculty members starting in August 2023 at the start of the 2023-24 fall semester. There were an additional six faculty members that joined CEAS at the start of the 2022-23 spring semester in January 2023.

UC engineering student works to advance ultrasound technology

Elmira Ghahramani, a biomedical engineering PhD student at the University of Cincinnati, first found an interest in medical imaging during her undergraduate studies in Tehran, Iran. Her research aims to address limitations and enhance the efficacy of ultrasound imaging, specifically as it applies to liver tumor thermal ablation. She collaborates with professionals from Cincinnati Children's Hospital and was named Graduate Student Engineer of the Month from the College of Engineering and Applied Science.

Global students thriving at the University of Cincinnati

With a new class of 1,543 for fall 2023—just 4 students short of last fall’s record-smashing intake—the University of Cincinnati’s international enrollment has reached 4,899 students, or 9.6% of the student population. It’s the highest number in UC’s history, up 15% from last year, due in part to UC's strong support for international student success.

From co-op to CEO

Jarrett is president and CEO of Cincinnati-based tech consulting firm Kinetic Vision, a company that has integrated UC co-op students for over 30 years. Jarrett himself got his start at the company through co-op as UC aerospace student in the '90s.
