Moments that matter: From Decision Day to move-in

August 27, 2021

First-year student Grayson Mentzel just moved onto campus, but six months ago, it was the University of Cincinnati that showed up at her door. Grayson was one of the lucky area high school students to be part of UC’s first-ever Decision Day surprise, when a shuttle with UC VIPs and members of the media surprised newly accepted Bearcats at their school or home.

UC breaks summer enrollment record two years running

UC welcomes its largest summer class in university history by nearly 500 students. Preliminary summer 2021 enrollment is at 20,618 students, up 2.4% from 2020, when UC previously surpassed the university’s summer enrollment record. The upward trajectory represents a longtime trend in summer enrollment.

UC student earns foreign affairs fellowship

A first-year graduate student in the University of Cincinnati’s School of Information Technology is one of just 15 students selected nationwide by the U.S. Department of State for the Foreign Affairs Information Technology Fellowship.

Student scholars continue Marian Spencer's legacy

A total of 10 students in Cincinnati Public Schools have been named Marian Spencer Scholars for the Fall 2023. Four learned of their award on Decision Day, January 23, while six others received the surprise announcement during the following week. UC officials visited eight Cincinnati schools to congratulate these high-achieving students.
