The College of Allied Health Sciences will host a Hoxworth Mobile blood drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, May 14. The Hoxworth Bloodmobile will be parked in the parking spaces outside French East. All donors will receive a free insulated UC tumbler.

The UC Neuroscience Institute will host the third annual wine tasting event, benefiting the UC Brain Tumor Center, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24, in the UC Myers Alumni Center. The tasting features dozens of wines to be sampled and purchased and a silent auction.

If you ve been required to schedule a neuroradiology procedure or test, chances are you have experienced the consummate professional and pleasant demeanor of Maria Kalp. With an 18-year background as a medical transcriptionist/secretary in Pennsylvania, she assumed the role of clinical assistant for the section of neuroradiology within the UC College of Medicine Department of Radiology in 2006. Here she tells us about why she enjoys coming to work every day.

Pam Sherman serves as assistant to Jannette Collins, MD, chair of the department of radiology at the UC College of Medicine, a clinical department with more than 265 employees, including 38 clinical faculty who practice at hospitals throughout the UC Health system. Here, she tells us why she enjoys the multi-faceted nature of her role.
