UC has long had a leading role in science and technology. A Nov. 10-11 conference on campus celebrates UC's leadership, drawing participants from throughout the nation who will look back to celebrate UC's 50 years of computing history and ahead to new ventures, like using virtual reality to train medical practitioners, teaching and Second Life, wearable computing and more.
