The study, published in the journal Criminology, examined county-level data from 2000 to 2015 in the U.S. to analyze the relationships between immigration and deaths from drug overdoses and homicides.

The Columbus Dispatch: Ohio man wins record-setting $45M in wrongful imprisonment lawsuit

Dean Gillispie of Fairborn won a $45 million civil lawsuit against former Miami Township police detective, Scott Moore, for actions that lead to Gillispie's wrongful imprisonment. Gillispie was freed after 20 years of imprisonment thanks to efforts of the Ohio Innocence Project at the University of Cincinnati. The Columbus Dispatch and other Ohio media covered Gillispie's civil lawsuit.

Cincinnati Business Courier: UC celebrated record enrollment this year as Mason, Lakota East top list of its feeder schools

The Cincinnati Business Courier reports the University of Cincinnati is celebrating its largest enrollment in history at the start of 2022-2023 fall semester, a count just shy of 48,000. The milestone bucks a national trend that showed undergraduate enrollment dipped 1.1% last fall and graduate enrollment was down 1%, according to a report from the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center.
