Cincinnati Public Radio WGUC 90.9 invited UC College-Conservatory of Music classical guitar students Wesley Weidig and Luke Jackson to give a live performance in the radio station’s Corbett Studio in December. The performance is now available on WGUC’s Clef Notes blog.

University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music graduate Leslie Dunner (DMA Orchestral Conducting, ’82) conducted the premiere of Anthony Davis’ The Central Park Five last June with California’s Long Beach Opera. In May, the opera won the 2020 Pulitzer Prize in Music.

The Clermont Sun recently published a profile story on Joshua Siderits, a pre-collegiate student at CCM who was named a 2020 Congressional Award Gold Medalist. Siderits has studied classical guitar with faculty member Rodney Stucky for the last 11 years through CCM Preparatory and Community Engagement's program offerings.

For 15 years, Cincinnati public radio station 91.7 WVXU has highlighted the local arts scene in its “Around Cincinnati” broadcast, produced and hosted by Lee Hay on Sunday evenings. UC College-Conservatory of Music alumnus Jack Lazzaro (BFA Acting, 04) received his first Emmy nomination in 2020 for his work as a key makeup artist on Netflix’s Ozark, starring Jason Bateman. Atlanta-based magazine VoyageATL recently featured Lazzaro as a “hidden gem” of the community.
