First year UC College-Conservatory Oboe Professor Titus Underwood was recently featured on BBC’s Inside Sounds, sharing 16 tracks that are near and dear to his heart and carry musical influence over his performance. Underwood is the principal oboe of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, a member of the UK-based Chineke! Orchestra, and a 2021 Sphinx Medal of Excellence recipient.

Cincinnati Opera recently announced that it was awarded a $1.3 million grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. In addition to providing key financial support for a new artistic initiative by Cincinnati Opera to commission operas that celebrate Black stories, the gift will also fund the continuation of Opera Fusion: New Works, the groundbreaking workshop program from Cincinnati Opera and CCM that supports the development of new operas.

" The prestigious list holds spots for artists, such as Carlos Simon and Kamala Sankaram whose works have been featured at Washington National Opera, The Glimmerglass Festival, Minnesota Opera and Houston Grand Opera.

CCM’s recent production of "The Marriage of Figaro" (Le nozze di Figaro, 1786) is now available for on-demand viewing as part of the CCMONSTAGE Online Archives series. This iconic opera, which was composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, was originally performed live in Corbett Auditorium on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021.
