CCTST KL2 Program Receives Five More Years of Funding

The Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training (CCTST) has received its third round of funding through the National Institute of Health (NIH) National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences’ Clinical and Translational Award (CTSA) program. This $22.1 million award will enable the CCTST to continue supporting investigators in maximizing the impact of clinical and translational research to improve individual and population health in Greater Cincinnati and beyond.

Yahoo News: Five Black UC faculty members receive National Institutes of Health grants

WCPO: Racial gap widens as COVID-19 pandemic continues

The Collaboration Network held a virtual conference on Racial and Health Inequities Exposed by COVID-19 featuring several presentations for the Cincinnati community including discussions or commentary from Andrew Beck, MD, a Cincinnati Children’s physician and associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati; Karen Bankston, PhD, professor of emerita of the UC College of Nursing; and Amy Rule, MD, a Cincinnati Children’s physician and assistant professor of pediatrics at UC.

UC announces new chief academic officer

June 16, 2021

UC President Neville G. Pinto informed the campus community today that Valerio Ferme, PhD, dean of UC’s largest college, will begin as the university’s chief academic officer effective Aug. 3.
