CECH welcomes 25 new faculty members to the University of Cincinnati

With the 2024-25 school year at University of Cincinnati underway, the College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH) welcomes 25 new faculty members to the classrooms and hallways of the Teachers-Dyer Complex for the fall semester. The newly hired instructors are teaching within all of the college's four schools, preparing undergraduate and graduate students to be essential changemakers, impacting their communities and the world in a variety of fields.

UC celebrates the Marian Spencer Scholarship Program with special induction ceremony

WLWT segment features a recent induction ceremony for students in UC's Marian Spencer Scholarship Program. The scholarship was first announced in fall 2021 and was made possible by a large donation by 1988 graduate Jim Goetz and university investment. The Spencer Scholarship is for high-achieving Cincinnati Public School graduates and includes full tuition, room and board, a service abroad trip to Tanzania and many more opportunities.

The University of Cincinnati celebrates first-gen students, the Bearcats who are the first in their families to attend college. They bring new perspectives to student life and account for about 1 of every 5 students on campus. Nov. 8 is First Generation College Student Day, celebrated across the nation.
