UC student body leaders use platform to empower others

October 28, 2021

University of Cincinnati student body leaders have taken on a full slate of undergraduate activities, including classes, studies, Bearcats games and leading student government for UC. Elected as president and vice president earlier this semester, the students set to work delivering on their platform of diversity and inclusion, sustainability, campus spirit, mental health and accessibility.  Initiatives so far include a Mental Health Advocacy Week, a career-ready clothing drive and civil discourse training.

UC finds ancient Maya reservoirs contained toxic pollution

A diverse team of biologists, chemists, anthropologists and geographers from the University of Cincinnati identified toxic mercury and algae in two central reservoirs of Tikal, an ancient Maya city, in the ninth century shortly before the city was abandoned.

UC welcomes new school to College of Arts and Sciences

The University of Cincinnati’s College of Arts and Sciences has established a School of Communication, Film and Media Studies. The new school is a compilation of the existing departments of Communication, Public Relations and Film and Media Studies and the Digital Media Collaborative.
